Oklahoma has seen more cases of West Nile virus than ever before, leaving some residents wondering why.
Phil Maytubby, chief of public health protection at the Oklahoma City-County Health Department, will answer questions about West Nile virus in an online chat Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Thus far this year, there have been 127 reported cases of West Nile virus and eight confirmed deaths in Oklahoma.
West Nile virus is cyclical, peaking every three to four years. The last spike in cases came in 2007, with 107 reported cases.
