House criticizes federal report

The House passed a resolution Wednesday stating it disagrees with a federal report that implies "right-wing extremists” are those who oppose abortion and illegal immigration as well as military veterans. House Concurrent Resolution 1043 by Rep. Pam Peterson, R-Tulsa, urges Oklahoma’s congressional delegation to oppose any use of the assessment report, which was released two weeks ago by the Homeland Security Department. Copies of the resolution are to be sent to the president, congressional leaders and members of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation.
