TISHOMINGO — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering up to $10,000 for information related to a homicide in southeastern Oklahoma.

OSBI officials say a home health care worker found 66-year-old Carol Mowrer dead inside her home near Tishomingo on Oct. 26. Officials say Mowrer died of lacerations to her neck.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office requested assistance with the case from the OSBI. Officials found items missing from Mowrer's home, including two small safes. One is a SentrySafe Fire Safe model 1100 BK. The second is much like model 1170.

Agents say Mowrer, who was in poor health, stored her prescription medication in one safe and valuables in the other. A custom-made emerald pendant also is missing.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to call the OSBI.
