Oklahoma letter carriers to take part in food drive

The food drive will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma

Letter carriers in 100 cities across Oklahoma will collect food donations May 12 to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Residents in participating cities will receive plastic donation bags in their mailboxes next week.

Those who wish to donate should fill those bags, or any plastic bag, with nonperishable food items and place them in their mailboxes by 7 a.m. May 12.

Items most needed include canned meats, meat-based soups, canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter, rice and beans.

All donations go to help needy Oklahomans.
