Oklahoma man dies after Sequoyah County wreck

Jimmy Don Cheater, 24, of Marble City, died about 5:20 a.m. Saturday after a wreck on State Highway 17, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A Marble City man died Saturday morning after a car wreck in Sequoyah County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 5:20 a.m., Jimmy Don Cheater, 24, was driving south on State Highway 17 about seven miles south of Sallisaw. The car left the road, hit a culvert and tree and overturned, troopers said.

Cheater, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, troopers said.
