Court records indicate the Wagoner County District Attorney's office filed attempted escape from arrest or detention and assault and battery on a police officer counts against Andrew Dennehy. Wagoner County is handling the case because Tulsa prosecutors recused themselves.

Dennehy already faces shooting with intent to kill and firearm counts in the March 7 shooting. Dennehy is accused of exchanging gunfire with deputies, leaving a deputy, a bystander and Dennehy wounded.

Dennehy's attorney, Allen Smallwood, said Wednesday the prosecutor who filed the new charges told him they stem from an incident at a hospital where Dennehy was treated after he was shot.

Smallwood says he didn't know any specifics.
