JAY – A Delaware County man mauled by two pit bull dogs earlier this month received between 180 to 200 stitches to close up lacerations after the attack, the sheriff’s office confirmed Tuesday.
Alan Robinson, 54, of Bernice was attacked on March 17 from dogs that belonged to Paula Robinson, his daughter-in law, according to a prepared statement released by Sheriff Harlan Moore.
This isn’t the first time deputies have visited Paula Robinson’s residence in connection to complaints the pit bull dogs were vicious. Sheriff’s dispatch records show law enforcement officers were called in April and May 2012 on dog complaints, the release states.
