School board filing to open

People interested in running for the Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education can declare their candidacy for Districts 5 and 7 beginning at 8 a.m. Dec. 2 in the county election board office, 4201 N Lincoln Blvd. The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Dec. 4. The election is Feb. 11.

OKC district seeks input

The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education is seeking community input in selecting a superintendent. The first of four public meetings will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the little theater at Northwest Classen High School, 2801 NW 27. PROACT, a search firm, will lead the meetings. Other meeting dates are Monday (Star Spencer High School), Tuesday (Douglass High School) and Dec. 5 (Southeast High School).

Shadid is set to speak

Ward 2 Councilman and mayoral candidate Dr. Ed Shadid will speak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the RiverPark Neighborhood Association meeting, held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3901 SW 29. The public is invited.
