Boy's parents face trial

A judge ruled Monday that the parents of a boy accused of shaking his 9-month-old sister to death will face trial on child neglect charges. Oklahoma County Special Judge Fred D. Doak found probable cause that Linda Walleska Beletzuy, 31, and Carlos Lopez-Beletzuy, 37, of Oklahoma City, committed a crime by failing to provide proper supervision and/or an appropriate caretaker for Linda Beletzuy, who died Aug. 19. The girl's brother, Crystian Rivera, 14, is charged with first-degree murder. He was 13 at the time. Prosecutors allege the girl died after her brother shook and tossed her for interrupting his video game. She was injured while left in Rivera's care while her parents were at work. Rivera will not be tried as an adult.
