Vet school offers tour

The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host a free open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5. People are invited to visit the state’s veterinary college and tour the Veterinary Medical Hospital. Activities will include a flyball/agility demonstration and Oklahoma City Disc Dogs show. Circle A draft horses, Oklahoma City Mounted Police, Sia Eagles and the Payne County K9 Unit will attend. The center is on W Farm Road between Hall of Fame and McFarland. Bluegrass group plays

The Greater Oklahoma Bluegrass Music Society will present its Fifth Saturday Bluegrass Gospel Concert/Jam on March 29 at the Oklahoma Country-Western Museum & Hall of Fame, 3925 SE 29 in Del City. Doors open at 5 p.m. The concert is from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. Tixckets are $8, and for members it’s $5. Children 12 and under are free but must be with an adult. OCU to host memory walk

A one-mile walk at Oklahoma City University will highlight distracted driving. The free walk begins at 6 p.m. March 28 near the McDaniel University Center. Counseling director Brandi Gibson’s stepdaughter, Emily, was killed in a distracted driving accident in 2009. To register, email co-chair Karen Vann at kvann@okcu.edu or call 208-5252.
