Drug charges bring prison

An Oklahoma City woman pleaded guilty this week to drug and child neglect charges and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Oklahoma County prosecutors alleged Jennifer Chapman-Ragland, 43, failed to care for a friend's 3-year-old boy during a drug binge at a local motel. The boy suffered injuries to his scalp and face when he poured cleaning products on his head and went untreated for about 24 hours, the woman's attorney said. The boy's mother, Leana Lee Luck, 31, also pleaded guilty Tuesday to a child neglect charge and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A third defendant, Matthew Clay Eckles, 41, was sentenced earlier this month to 16 years in prison on drug charges.
