Annual meeting set

for nonprofits

— The Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits has planned its Annual Members Meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa Campus’ Schusterman Center in Founders Hall at 41st and Yale.

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the lunch and program begin at noon.

The keynote address will be presented by Phil Lakin Jr., George Kaiser Family Foundation chairman and trustee, CEO of the Tulsa Community Foundation and a Tulsa city councilman.

Admission is free for members and $15 for nonmembers are $15.

Junior League hosts ‘Girl Power’ event

Junior League of Norman recently hosted its annual Girl Power event, empowering young women by promoting a positive self-image and sharpening relationship skills.

The league invited preteen girls from area schools and civic groups to attend and engage in educational discussions and activities featuring anti-bullying, communication etiquette, fitness, healthy relationships, leadership, nutrition and self-defense.
