Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs director to retire

Gene Christian will retire from the Office of Juvenile Affairs on July 31

State Office of Juvenile Affairs Director Gene Christian has announced that he will retire effective July 31.

Christian, 53, has been the agency's director since Sept. 1, 2006.

Christian previously worked as a district attorney, an assistant district attorney and a staff attorney for the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

The Board of Juvenile Affairs appointed a three-member search committee to assist in finding Christian's successor.
