Sponsored by the Oklahoma Commission on Marginally Producing Oil and Gas Wells, the event is designed to bring together all parts of the oil and natural gas industry to learn about new and improved industry techniques and about what other companies are doing in the industry.
Marginal wells are those that produce less than 10 barrels of oil per day.
“We're here to promote the entire industry and to provide education,” said Rick Torix, public affairs officer at the marginal well commission.
Marginal wells contribute more than $1.3 billion to the state economy, he said.
“Marginal wells aren't very marginal anymore,” he said.
