Wednesday's livestock report from the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 720; Last week: 691; Year ago: 1,273

Monday's actual: 6,168; Compared to last week: Slaughter cows $1-$3 lower. Slaughter bulls $2-$4 lower. Packer demand moderate to good. Replacement cows and pairs again just lightly tested. Several middle aged, thin short bred or open cows were included and many of these returning to the country. Total of 351 cows and bulls sold with 52 percent going to packers.

Slaughter Cows: 1,000-1,750 lbs. Average dressing Boners and Breakers $73-$77.50; Lean cows $70.50-$74; High dressing $75-$85; Low dressing $62-$73. 800-975 lbs. Light Weight cows Average dressing $65-$68.50; High dressing $70-$77; Low dressing $60-$64.

Slaughter Bulls: 1,400-2,100 lbs. Average dressing $94.50-$98.50; High dressing $103-$107, very High dressing $109; Low dressing $88-$92. The estimated dressed cost at the Oklahoma National Stockyards; Lean $158.35; Boners $152.50; Breakers $144.95; Lightweight carcasses $145.55; Bulls $173.65.
