Compared to last week: Slaughter cows $2-$3 higher. Slaughter bulls were $2-$4 higher. Lighter runs push the slaughter market higher with fewer cows coming out of the East this week. Hot weather and dry conditions continue to plague most of the country. Packer demand moderate. Total of 131 cows and bulls sold with 73 percent going to packers.
Slaughter Cows: Average dressing Boners and Breakers $74.50-$80.50;
Lean Cows: $72.50-$76.50; High dressing $79.50-$86; Low dressing $66.50- $74.50.
