Cow and Bull Auction for Tuesday:

Receipts: 1,018; Last Tuesday: 969; Year Ago: 1,720

Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and bulls $3-$5 lower, following sharp declines in the cow cutout as precipitated by major declines in ninety percent trimmings. Packer demand moderate. Total of 462 cows and bulls sold with 62 percent going to packers.

Slaughter Cows: 1,000-1,750 lbs. Average dressing $70-$75.50; High dressing $75-$81; Low dressing $63-$71. 800-1,000 lbs. Light weight cows Average dressing $61-$66; High dressing not tested; Low dressing $51-$57.50.

Slaughter Bulls: 1,375-1,950 lbs. Average dressing $91-$95.50; High dressing $96-$104; Low dressing $81.50-$88.

The estimated dressed cost at the Oklahoma National Stockyards; Lean $153.85; Boners $149.95; Breakers $140.05; Bulls $166.75.

Replacement Cows: Pre-tested for pregnancy and age. Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 4-6 year old 1,000-1,375 lb. cows 5-6 months bred high quality black $1,075-$1,175/head; 6-9 year old 1,025-1,275 lb. cows 4-7 months bred average quality black $975-$1060; 6-9 year old 875-1,225 lb. cows 4-7 months bred average quality $810-$950/head.
