Once upon a time, I wanted to get a new kitten to replace my beloved Linus, whom I lost to lymphosarcoma in August of 2008. I went to the local pet store to find the new kitten I so much wanted to love.

In the pet store, I came upon a lovely golden tabby with elegant long limbs that moved with the grace of a ballet dancer. I decided to bring him home and call him Leo, which is an English name that means lion. I thought it was an appropriate choice for such a "Lion King” lookalike.

Leo’s playful habits and athletic prowess have proven to be entertaining for my whole family. Leo’s grateful attitude and affectionate nature has lessened the pain of the loss of Linus.

Leo has proven to be a cherished member of my family!
