en with my persistence, my husband said we didn’t need another dog. One morning three years ago, my husband walked out on the front lawn, and a little black dog ran to him and jumped in his arms. He took the dog up and down a few blocks trying to find its home, but the dog kept running back to our front door as if it were its home. We posted fliers around the neighborhood, put an ad in the newspaper and called animal control the next day. I told animal control we would keep the dog in our home, but if anyone called looking for the dog to please have them call me. No one claimed him. I told my husband that God knew my husband wouldn’t let me have another dog, so God sent one to me by having it jump in his arms that day.
We kept the dog and named him Sam. He is scared of storms but loves to run and play with Emily.
Our dogs are part of our family. We even have birthday parties for them!
As I was writing this, I let the dogs out in the backyard to play, and they picked our biggest watermelon. I guess we will have to fence in our garden!
