Oklahoma police officer accused of setting fire to home with family inside

MUSKOGEE — A reserve officer for the Gore Police Department is accused of setting fire to his home while his family was in the house.

Charles Mark Shamblin, 45, of Webbers Falls was arrested and charged this week with first-degree arson stemming from an incident on March 31 when he is accused of setting a pillow case and a shirt on fire with a cigarette lighter.

Authorities said that Shamblin’s wife and daughter were in the house when he allegedly started the fire.
