Most intriguing matchup Clinton at Chandler
7:30 tonight

Why bother: If you like old-school, hard-nosed football, this could be the game of the season. Clinton does what Clinton has seemingly always done — punish with its ground game (led by Delans Griffin) and control things defensively. Chandler is similar this year, with Johnny Morton helping take care of things on the ground.

Getting there: Take Interstate 44 East to exit 166. Merge onto OK-18/N. Price Ave. toward Chandler. Turn right on Route 66. Turn left at E. 15{+t}{+h} St.

Eating there: Steer Inn, 102 N. Oak Street. This restaurant, which also has locations in Cushing and Mannford, features a little bit of everything on the menu. But with a name like Steer Inn, you can't go wrong with the steaks — everything from chicken-fried to New York strips and rib eyes.

The pick: Clinton 21, Chandler 14. There are plenty of similarities between the teams, but in the end, it'll be the Red Tornadoes coming out ahead. Clinton has the big-game experience, and the big playmaker in Griffin, who was dominant against Weatherford in Week 1. He even put up big numbers last week in bad field conditions.

Other top attractions Davis at Heritage Hall
Plot: After losing to Prague last week, 14-6, Davis is trying to re-establish itself as one of the top teams in Class 2A. Heritage Hall has done nothing to suggest it doesn't deserve its No. 1 ranking, especially after a 31-19 win over Weatherford last week.

Starring: Turner Petersen has done just fine after moving to quarterback from wide receiver in the offseason. For Davis, running backs Chris Campbell and Matt Burba make the Wolves' offense go.

The pick: Heritage Hall 33, Davis 14. While Heritage Hall has looked the part of a contender, Davis hasn't been nearly as impressive.
