Oklahoma ranks among top 10 most religious states in America

According to a recent poll, about 40 percent of Americans say they are “very religious,” meaning religion is an important part of their daily life and they attend services every week or nearly every week.

What about Oklahomans?

Well, a Gallup poll released Wednesday found that Oklahoma ranks in the top 10 most religious states in the country.

The top 10 list includes Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and has Mississippi ranked at No. 1. Oklahoma rounds out the list at No. 10.

The South dominated most of the top 10 list with Utah and Oklahoma being the only exceptions, according to the poll.
