OKC Beautiful recognizes firm
Frankfurt Short Bruza, an Oklahoma City architecture and engineering firm, was recipient of OKC Beautiful's 2013 Community Spirit Award for its donation to the Myriad Botanical Gardens. To commemorate its 65 years in business, the firm donated $50,000 toward the acquisition and placement of 65 trees that now line the Great Lawn and Performance Pavilion.
“This donation is near and dear to our firm's roots as we have been dedicated to beautifying Oklahoma City's outdoor space for more than six decades,” said Allen Brown, principal. “The 65 oak and red cypress trees — each marking a year in business in Oklahoma City — are symbols of strength, sustainability and endurance that future generations will enjoy.”
Each year, OKC Beautiful presents awards to individuals, businesses and civic organizations that strive to create and sustain programs and projects that benefit the Oklahoma City metro area. This marks the 30th anniversary of the organization's Distinguished Service Awards.
