Boldt wins GM contract
General Motors has awarded Boldt Co. a three-year nationwide construction management contract for small construction and maintenance projects for 28 manufacturing plants and warehouses in 16 states. Boldt has completed 675 projects in six GM assembly plants over the past 15 years. Boldt's Southern Operations unit in Oklahoma City will manage projects through the project delivery-program management approach.
“Boldt is able to streamline work by acting as construction manager and design builder — keeping all construction activity managed under a single, in-house source,” said Steve Olson, group president of Boldt's southern operations. The contract could be extended beyond 2015, he said.
Also, Boldt has added the following in Oklahoma City: Tim Thomas and Bobby Barney as project engineers; Dalton Higgins as project manager; and Laura Johnson as administrative assistant.
