Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education to consider tuition and fee increases Thursday

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education heard tuition and mandatory fee proposals from each public college and university in the state at a meeting Wednesday. Those proposals ranged from no in-state tuition increase to a 7.2 percent increase.

The Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education will vote on tuition and fee increases ranging up to a little more than 7 percent at a meeting Thursday.

The board heard tuition and mandatory fee proposals from each public college and university in the state at a meeting Wednesday. Those proposals ranged from no in-state tuition increase at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University to a 7.2 percent increase at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

The board is scheduled to vote on the proposed tuition and fee rates at a meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday at the State Regents office, 655 Research Parkway, Suite 200.
