Concert series continues Tuesday

The First Tuesday Concert Series at First Lutheran Church continues at noon Tuesday at 1300 N Robinson. Pianist Sergio Monteiro will be the guest performer.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking also is available. For more information, call 235-1013 or 848-0423.

Women's event is planned

The 48th annual Christian Women's Workshop, with the theme “This Little Light of Mine,” is set for March 11 at Southwest Church of Christ, 3031 SW 104.

The event will begin with coffee and registration at 9 a.m. and include several guest speakers.

A luncheon will follow in the church's fellowship hall.

Navy choir will perform

The Sea Chanters, the official chorus of the U.S. Navy, will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. March 17 at First Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City, 1001 NW 25.

The choral group will perform songs ranging from traditional choral music, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare, to opera, Broadway and contemporary music.

Under the leadership of Adam Tyler, chief musician, the Sea Chanters appear throughout the United States and often perform at the White House and for other dignitaries.
