It was all good news for the Oklahoma Republican Party with a sweep to hold all of the seats in the state’s Washington delegation, until the presidential race was called for President Barack Obama just before 10:30 p.m.

It was all good news for the party until the presidential race was called for President Barack Obama just before 10:30 p.m.

The evening at the Oklahoma Republican watch party was filled with claps and cheers over the news that the state’s congressional delegation would be entirely Republican. That mood shifted sharply when it was announced President Barack Obama would win a second term.
