Kevin Jones had 24 points and nine rebounds Wednesday night, and the Canton Charge beat the Tulsa 66ers 94-91 in overtime in a D-League game at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
Grant Jerrett led Tulsa with 27 points and eight rebounds. Mario Little added 13 points and five assists.
Tulsa fell to 1-7.
The 66ers continues a three-game road trip at 7 p.m. Friday at the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
ROY HONORED BY ECHL
Former Oklahoma City Barons netminder Olivier Roy was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week. Roy, who started this season with the Barons of the American Hockey League, was traded to the Calgary Flames organization by the Edmonton Oilers. Roy, now with the Alaska Aces, was 2-1-0 with two shutouts and a 0.65 goals-against average in three games last week against the Utah Grizzlies.
Former Barons goaltender David LeNeveu, now with South Carolina, was a finalist for the weekly award.
Current Barons goaltender Laurent Brossoit, acquired from the Flames for Roy, won the ECHL award for the week of Oct. 18-Nov. 3.
