Oklahoma scene: Barons sign veteran forward Josh Green to one-year contract

Johnson continues to top the ASCS national standings, owning a 54-point lead over Jason Johnson of Eunice, La.

*Danny Jennings slipped underneath Danny Wood with three laps remaining late Saturday night to win a National Championship Racing Association sprint car race at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan. The Norman drivers both started on the front row. Wood led for 22 laps before Jennings, a five-time points champion at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City, moved in front. The NCRA had a race late Sunday night at Enid Speedway. Results were not available at press time.

*Tulsa resident Chris Andrews collected $10,000 for winning a POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series sprint car race late Saturday night in Marion, Ill. The 27-year-old started the 40-lap race at Southern Illinois Speedway on the pole. Andrews led for 38 laps. Scott Sawyer of Broken Arrow finished second.

*Mike Goodman of Broken Arrow took the lead on the eighth lap late Saturday night and won an ASCS Sooner Region race at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas. Robert Sellers of Mustang finished second.
