Brill's Motor Speedway in Meeker will host the final Oil Capital Racing Series points event of the season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The sprint car races will cap a six-month season that has been dominated by Jamie Passmore. The resident of Rose, which is located in eastern Oklahoma, has already clinched the season championship. Passmore has won 11 of 20 previous feature races. Oklahoma City drivers Whit Gastineau and Jeremy Allen have combined to win the last four point races. WARDEN GETS SECOND CHANCE
Oklahoma junior John Warden is back in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships a day after he was eliminated. Warden, who lost to Joe Salisbury of Memphis 7-6, 6-2 in Sunday's pre-qualifying final round, was reinstated Monday after another competitor withdrew from the field. Warden joins fellow OU players Peerkit Siributwong, Dane Webb, Axel Alvarez and Leonard Stakhovsky in single qualifying rounds, which began Monday at the Case Center in Tulsa. Another OU player, Guillermo Alcorta, has already qualified for the main draw after finishing the 2011-2012 season ranked No. 2 in the Central Region.
COWBOYS IN FIFTH
The Oklahoma State men's golf team remained in fifth place after Monday's round at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. The Cowboys had a 287 team total Monday at Olympia Fields Country Club. OSU's two-round 580 total is 19 shots behind tournament leader Arkansas. Oklahoma State freshman Jordan Niebrugge was 14th in the individual race, seven shots behind leader Sebastian Cappelen of Arkansas. The tournament ends Tuesday.
