Former Sequoyah-Tahelquah star Angel Goodrich is one of 30 players on the John R. Wooden Award watch list for the 2012-13 women's basketball season. Goodrich is a senior guard for Kansas. Teammate Carolyn Davis, a senior forward, is also on the list. Reigning Wooden Award winner Brittney Griner, the 6-foot-8 post from Baylor, is once again on the list. The winner will be announced the first weekend of April. Bill Self, the Kansas men's basketball coach, will also receive the Legends of Coaching Award that weekend. Self played college basketball at Oklahoma State and high school ball at Edmond Memorial.

*Oklahoma City at No. 2 and Oklahoma Baptist at No. 6 are the only state schools in the preseason NAIA men's golf rankings for the 2013 season. Longtime power Oklahoma Christian was not in the poll — and did not receive any votes. Texas Wesleyan is No. 1, receiving 13 of 17 possible first-place votes. OCU received the other four No. 1 votes.
