Oklahoma scene: Court in Salina, Kan., to be named after Kurt Budke
The basketball court at the Bicentennial Center in Salina, Kan. is set to be named after late Oklahoma State women's basketball coach Kurt Budke . City commissioners voted unanimously Monday to qualify the center as a naming facility.
Budke, who was killed in a plane crash in November, was a Salina native and a graduate of Salina Sacred Heart High School . Budke's parents still live in the city.
