OSU (17-14 overall, 4-5 Big 12) never trailed Sunday, getting two RBIs from both Robbie Rea and Gabe Weidenaar. Blake Barnes took over for Cowboys starter Vince Wheeland with two outs and the bases loaded in the seventh inning. Barnes escaped the jam and went on to blank Kansas (12-19, 2-7) on no hits, no walks and two strikeouts in 21/3 innings. The save was Barnes' first of the season.

Oklahoma State begins at three-game league series 6 p.m. Friday at Texas.
