Oklahoma scene: Cowgirls salvage 2-2 soccer tie with Washington State

Allie Stephenson and Courtney Dike scored for Oklahoma State, which salvaged a 2-2 soccer tie with Washington State on Sunday in Stillwater.

Dike's goal in the 43rd minute gave the Cowgirls a 2-1 lead. But 48 seconds later, Micaela Castain tied the game for the Cougars. Castain also scored Washington State's first goal.

Washington State (5-0-2) thought it scored the winning goal in the second overtime, but it was whistled for a foul.

OSU (3-2-3) next play Friday against Rice in Houston.

NORTH TEXAS ROUTS SOONERS

Rachel Holden scored three goals Sunday, leading North Texas to a 5-0 soccer rout over Oklahoma in Norman.

OU (3-5-0) failed to score despite 13 shots, including eight of those on goal.

Kelsey Hodges and Allison Harper added goals for the Mean Green (6-2-0).

The Sooners next play Thursday at No. 6-ranked Brigham Young in Provo, Utah.
