Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self will receive the Wayman Tisdale Humanitarian Award on April 14 during the Devon Energy College Basketball Awards at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Self, who played basketball at Oklahoma State and Edmond Memorial, is one of four coaches in NCAA Division I history to have led three schools — Tulsa, Illinois and Kansas — to the Elite Eight.

The Tisdale Humanitarian Award honors an individual involved in college basketball who has had a significant impact off the court well as on. Previous honorees include legendary ESPN and Hall of Fame announcer Dick Vitale, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.

Marquez Clark of Central Oklahoma is one of 28 candidates for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which goes to the NCAA Division II College Football Player of the Year. The Texarkana, Texas, native has set a single-season school record for all-purpose yards with 2,031 and ranks among the national leaders in punt returns, all-purpose yards, receiving yards and receptions. Clark has caught 69 passes for 1,192 yards and five touchdowns, ranking second in receiving yards per game (132.4) and 13th in receptions per game (7.7) in Division II. He's returned 15 punts for 319 yards and two TDs for a 21.3 average that is second-best in the country.
