Northern Iowa continued its “domination” of Oklahoma on its home wrestling mat Friday night, beating the Sooners 18-15 at West Gym in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Oklahoma fell to 0-4 when wrestling at Northern Iowa — though none of the Sooners or Panthers were even born the last time an OU team traveled to Cedar Falls, in 1950. The Sooners' other trips to Cedar Falls were in 1928 and 1946.

Oklahoma (5-4) led Friday night's dual 15-3, when the Panthers rallied with 15 unanswered points. The Sooners' Matt Reed (174 pounds), Nolan McBryde (184), Brad Johnson (197) and Keldrick Hall (heavyweight) lost successive matches. Hall's 3-1 loss to Blayne Beal was the difference maker as Northern Iowa improved to 4-2 this season.

The Sooners' No. 1-ranked Kendric Maple improved to 18-0 this season with a 6-3 decision over Joey Lazor at 141 pounds.

Oklahoma will wrestle at 2 p.m. Sunday against West Virginia at McCasland Field House.

No. 3-ranked Central Oklahoma collected six bonus-point wins Friday night and whipped No. 20 Ouachita Baptist 34-13 in NCAA Division II wrestling Friday night in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Casy Rowell at 133 pounds, Jordan Basks (149), Cory Dauphin (157), Chris Watson (165), Znick Ferrell (197) and Cody Dauphin (heavyweight) all had bonus-point victories for the Bronchos. Cory Dauphin had the biggest victory of the dual, pinning No. 3-ranked Bobby Williams at 5 minutes, 49 seconds.
