After a 10-year hiatus, Oklahoma State is reviving its Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame.
On Feb. 1, 2014, three new inductees will be honored during the Cowboy Baseball First Pitch Banquet in Stillwater. Infielders Danny Thompson, Billy Gasparino and Josh Fields will join the Hall, which currently has 42 members. A five-person committee selected the new inductees. The panel evaluated players based on their accomplishments at both Oklahoma State and the professional baseball level.
OU TIED FOR SECOND
The No. 5-ranked Oklahoma women's golf team was in a second-place tie after Monday's round at the Alamo Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. OU, which started the day in first place, is tied with LSU. The Sooners and Tigers are two strokes behind Arkansas.
Chirapat Jao-Javanil led the Sooners on Monday with a 3-under-par 69. She is tied for eighth place in the individual standings.
The tournament continues Tuesday.
OSU MEN LEAD AFTER 36 HOLES
The Oklahoma State men's golf team had a six-shot lead after Monday's round at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas.
Playing a 6-count-5 format, the Cowboys, who entered play as the event's defending champions, opened with a 15-under 340 during their morning round and followed with a 349 during the afternoon session.
