NINE SELECTED FOR UCO HALL

Nine men and women have been selected into the 2012 UCO Athletic Hall of Fame class for their past accomplishments as players and coaches.

The athletes and former coaches include: Melburn Brown, Jr., Todd Drake, Tyrone Hopkins, Johnnie Jones, Christina Smith, Sally (Holmes) Tinga, Jim Rogers, Jessie Banks and Don Jimerson.

The induction ceremony scheduled for Nov. 2 at the University Center Ballroom.

MUSTANG'S DUNN TO PLAY AT UCO

Whitney Dunn will play her college basketball at Central Oklahoma. The 5-foot-11 forward from Mustang averaged 11.7 points and 6.9 rebounds as a senior.

Dunn was all All-Conference selection last season.

TWO UCO GOLFERS NAMED ALL-AMERICANS

Golfers Josh Creel and Dillon Rust have been named 2012 Division II PING All-America team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Creel was selected to the first team while Rust received an honorable mention.

Creel won the 2012 individual NCAA Division II championship. He also earned Player of the Year honors this season.

KROPP NAMED RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION

Oklahoma junior Will Kropp was selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the 2012 Division I PING All-America Team as an honorable mention.

In seven team events, the Edmond North High graduate averaged a 74.43 score. Kropp finished ninth at the 2012 NCAA Golf Championships with a three-round score of 2-over-par 214.
