OSU women upset Baylor

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team upset top seed Baylor 4-3 to advance to the final at the Big 12 Championships in Norman on Saturday.

The fourth-seeded Cowgirls (15-7) opened up the match by taking the doubles point. OSU got singles wins from Kanyapat Narattana, Maria Alvarez and Karyn Guttormsen to pick up the victory. Guttormsen's 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-4 defeat of Baylor's Alex Clay sealed the win.

OSU will face third-seeded Texas for the championship at 1 p.m. Sunday.

OU men advance to Big 12 tennis final

The Oklahoma men's tennis team beat Texas 4-1 in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships on Saturday in Norman.

With the win, the No. 2 seed Sooners advanced to face top seed Baylor in Sunday's final, which begins at 1 p.m.

Against the Longhorns, the Sooners lost the doubles point, but got singles wins from Guillermo Alcorta, Axel Alvarez Llamas, Dane Webb and Leonard Stakhovsky to win the semifinal match.

Bertko picks up win

Kate Bertko, who trains at the USRowing Training Center in Oklahoma City, won the Women's Lightweight Single event at USRowing's National Selection Regatta 1 in Princeton, N.J. Bertko, who has changed weight classes and debuted as a lightweight rower at the event, completed the course in an 8:02.90

OKC rowers and 2012 Olympians Mike Gennaro and Grant James took second in the Men's Pair.
