OKLAHOMA TAKES OIL BOWL TITLE

Behind the sharp passing of Ponca City quarterback Brent Wilson, and a daunting rushing attack, Oklahoma rolled to a 30-20 win over Texas in the 75th annual Oil Bowl Classic Saturday night in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Wilson was perfect on seven passing attempts, throwing two touchdown passes to earn Oklahoma's Most Valuable Player honor. The running back trio of Putnam City's Casey Curtis, Anadarko's Sheldon Wilson and Midwest City's James Flanders combined for 200 rushing yards, each accounting for at least 50.

The 30 points scored by Oklahoma was its most since posting a 38-7 win in 2005.
