Oklahoma scene: OSU's top-ranked Jordan Oliver is Big 12 Wrestler of the Week

Jordan Oliver of Oklahoma State was named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week. The nation's No. 1-rated 133-pounder beat two ranked opponents last weekend to help the Cowboys win the NWCA National Duals regional in Stillwater. Oliver defeated No. 17 Zach Zehner of Wyoming and No. 2 Logan Stieber of Ohio State.
Oliver is 18-1 this season, including a 6-1 mark against ranked opponents. Oliver has accounted for 71 team points for the Cowboys, who are 14-0 in duals.
Top-ranked OSU takes on No. 12 Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Thursday in Norman.
OU MEN LEAD AFTER FIRST ROUND
The Oklahoma men's golf team held a four-stroke lead over Big 12 rival Baylor on Monday after the first round of the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio. Three-time defending champion Texas Tech was third, five strokes shy of the Sooners. OU junior Abraham Ancer is tied for first place in the individual title race with Louisiana-Lafayette's Andrew Noto. Ancer and Noto shot 3-under-par 139 for two rounds. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
*The OU women's golf team was tied for 13th place after 18 holes Monday at the Northrop Grumman Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif. No. 1-ranked UCLA led the tournament with an even-par 284, which was eight shots ahead of Duke. The Sooners were 26 strokes behind the leader.
