“It was a shootout. Both team's offenses were better than both team's defenses today,” said OSU coach Colin Carmichael. “They had 14-15 good looks at goal, and we probably had 10-12. (The score) could have just as easily been 5-5. Both keepers made good saves, both defenses made some good plays. If Vandy had lost, they would feel hard done by and if we had lost, we'd feel hard done by so maybe a tie was just about right.”
WORRELL WINS OKLAHOMA OPEN
University of Tulsa golfer Chris Worrell shot a final-round 67 Sunday and won the Oklahoma Open at Oak Tree National in Edmond.
Worrell finished the three-round tournament with a 202, which was three shots better than Zechariah Potter of Andover, Kan.; Justin Bardgett of Chesterfield, Mo.; Coy Breen of San Antonio; Kevin Kring of Springfield, Mo.; Oscar Stark of Edmond; and Jason Meece of Ardmore.
Worrell was a second-team All-Conference USA selection last season. The Enid product was an All-Stater.
