Oklahoma scene: OU women's golf team to host regional

In the first game, OC won 5-4 to eliminate Central Baptist. OC's Caleb Price had a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Jordan Lopez with the winning run.

In Game 2, OC defeated Ecclesia (Ark.) 15-2. OC will face Ecclesia again Thursday.

OU, OSU athletes earn Big 12 tennis honors

OU women's tennis players Whitney Ritchie and Hermon Brhane were selected to the All-Big 12 singles and doubles team. This marked the second consecutive season for Ritchie, a former Bishop McGuinness standout, to be named to both teams. Brhane was also named the 2013 Newcomer of the Year.

* The No. 14 OU men's tennis team has collected three Big 12 postseason awards. For the second consecutive year, John Roddick has been named Coach of the Year. Also for the second consecutive year, senior Costin Paval was named Player of the Year. OU's Axel Alvarez Llamas tied with Baylor's Julian Lenz as the Co-Freshman of the Year.

* Oklahoma State women's tennis players Malika Rose and Kanyapat Narattana have been selected to the All-Big 12 doubles team, while Rose has also been selected to the All-Big 12 singles team.

*Oklahoma State men's tennis athletes Rifat Biktyakov and Matt Campbell were selected to the All-Big 12 doubles team.

The Central Oklahoma baseball team will begin play in the final four of the MIAA Tournament against No. 5-ranked Missouri Western at 11 a.m. Thursday in Kansas City, Kan. ... The third-seeded Tulsa softball team opens the Conference USA Championship against sixth-seeded UCF at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Tulsa's Collins Family Softball Complex. ... Four Tulsa players were selected to the All-Conference USA First Team, led by C-USA Pitcher of the Year Aimee Creger. Creger was joined on the All-C-USA First Team by senior shortstop Samantha Cobb, senior pitcher/DP Lacey Middlebrooks and junior third baseman Jill Barrett.
