Oklahoma guard/forward Cameron Clark and Oklahoma State guard Markel Brown were each listed as invites to the 2014 Portsmouth Invitational Basketball Tournament, but neither will participate this week.
The four-game, 12-day tournament in Virginia typically serves as a showcase for the top 64 senior draft prospects, with representatives from every NBA team in attendance.
Brown took to Twitter on Monday to clarify his non-participation in the Wednesday through Saturday event, saying “Misunderstanding...I will not be attending the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament...sorry.”
Brown averaged 17.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists this season. Clark averaged 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 43 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Both Clark and Brown have been projected as second-round picks in the upcoming NBA Draft in June.
