Oklahoma scene: Spots limited for Sam Bradford football camp

The St. Louis Rams quarterback, who played at OU and PC North High School, will attend the entire two-day camp.

A few slots remain open for the Old Spice Sam Bradford Football ProCamp, scheduled for July 10-11 in at the OU Intramural Fields in Norman. The St. Louis Rams quarterback, who played at Oklahoma and Putnam City North High School, will attend the entire camp and help provide instruction on the fundamentals of football. The camp is for boys and girls ages 7-14.

High school and college coaches from the Norman area will assist Bradford. Each camper will receive an autographed camp photo, T-shirt and a goody bag with more than $100 of merchandise.

OU ASSISTANT GETS SPOT

Bo Hodge, an assistant coach for the Oklahoma men's tennis team, was one of three selections to mentor the U.S. Tennis Association's Collegiate men's squad this summer. Andres Pedroso of Virginia and Ryan Sachire of Notre Dame will join Hodge at a training program for the top U.S. college players in Boca Raton, Fla.

*Paola Costa and Lili Ferreira of Oklahoma Baptist were named NAIA All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Costa was named All-American for both singles and doubles. Ferreira earned the honor in doubles; she and Costa have been doubles partners for three seasons and established several school records. Costa holds all career school records for No. 1 singles.
