Leslie Cole and Marcus Pugh fell short of making the Olympic team in the 200-meter dash. Pugh fell short of a qualifying time in the quarterfinals, while Cole managed to move on to the semifinals before being eliminated.

While OU did not place any athletes on the U.S. team, the Sooners will still be represented at the Games. OU alums Michael Blackwood and Danny McFarlane will compete for Jamaica.

OSU's Whitekiller claims title: Oklahoma State golfer Trent Whitekiller claimed medal honors on Thursday at the Sahalee Players Championshp.

The OSU junior-to-be from Sallisaw held a two-shot lead with 18 holes left before rain forced the event to be shortened to 54 holes. Whitekiller finished with a 6-under 210 to finish two shots ahead of USC's Matthew Giles.

Whitekiller was joined at the tournament by OSU teammate Mark Johnson, who finished 57th at 238.
