U.S. Senior Open tickets on sale
Advance tickets for single-day rounds of the 2014 U.S. Senior Open Golf Championship at Oak Tree National in Edmond are now available to the public. Practice rounds are scheduled July 7-9, and championship rounds are July 10-13.
Practice round tickets are $20 per day. Championship round tickets are $45 per day. A weekly ticket package is $125. Tickets give access to the championship grounds and free parking. Tickets can be purchased at www.2014ussenioropen.com or at Buy for Less and Uptown grocery stores.
BOOMER WEEKEND STARTS FRIDAY
The Oklahoma athletic department is having an event triathlon Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Norman. Sooner fans will receive a punch card that can be validated at checkpoints at various athletic event sites throughout the weekend; after five punches, fans will receive a free ticket to the OU spring football game, scheduled for April 12. Fans will also qualify for a grand prize drawing, which includes the use of a 10-person suite and VIP fan experience during the spring game.
Events Friday are an OU softball game at 4:30 p.m.; men’s tennis at 5; a baseball game at 6; and women’s gymnastics at 6:45. Saturday’s schedule includes the Big 12 Wrestling Tournament, which runs all day; a baseball game at 2 p.m.; and a softball doubleheader at 4 and 6:30. Sunday’s schedule is baseball at noon; men’s tennis at noon; a softball game at 12:30 p.m.; and men’s gymnastics at 4.

•Due to inclement weather, Oklahoma’s scheduled baseball game Tuesday against Abilene Christian has been moved to 3 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell Park in Norman. The Sooners and Wildcats will play 6 p.m. Wednesday as scheduled. OU will then host Rutgers for a three-game series at 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
•The Central Oklahoma men’s basketball team will play its final home game of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hamilton Field House, taking on Missouri Western in the first round of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament. The winner advances to Friday’s quarterfinals in Kansas City, Mo., against Fort Hays State (Kan.). UCO is 17-9 this season. Missouri Western is 11-15.
