Ty Hensley, the New York Yankees' No. 1 draft choice this spring, will sign autographs at Al's Sports Cards in Edmond from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Hensley was an All-State pitcher as a senior at Edmond Santa Fe High School. He compiled at 10-0 record, 1.52 earned run average and 111 strikeouts in 551/3 innings as Santa Fe reached the Class 6A state baseball tournament.
The Yankees gave Hensley a $1.2 million signing bonus, and then sent the right-hander to Florida to participate in the short-season Gulf Coast League. Hensley was 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 12 innings.
The Hensley autograph session will be part of a sports memorabilia show at Al's Sports Cards, which is located at 116 E. 15th Street. The memorabilia show runs from 1 to 5 p.m.
