Franch makes big saves for OSU
Oklahoma State goalkeeper AD Franch made two big saves down the stretch to help Oklahoma State beat Baylor 1-0 Sunday in Big 12 soccer in Stillwater. Franch nursed the lead with a diving save at the 76:38 mark, then added a stop later as OSU improved to 11-7-0 overall and 5-5-0 in the league.

TIDLAND EARNS PGA CARD
Former Oklahoma State golfer Chris Tidland finished sixth on the Nationwide Tour’s money list, making him eligible for a return to the PGA Tour. The Stillwater resident, who played at OSU over the 1992-95 seasons, earned $354,510. Tidland made 21 Nationwide Tour starts this season and finished in the top 10 six times.
Tidland has made 60 starts on the PGA Tour. His best finish was sixth at the 2007 AT&T Classic.
COWBOYS STAND THIRD
The Oklahoma State men’s golf team finished Sunday’s round in third place at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla. The Cowboys, led by co-leader Peter Uihlein, were two shots behind leader Stanford. Uihlein shot a 4-under-par 68, tying him with Steve Ziegler of Stanford and Tim McKenney of Florida.
The tournament continues today.
CONSTANTINESCU WINS TITLES
Oklahoma sophomore Ana-Maria Constantinescu had a part in two titles Sunday at the ITA Central Region Women’s Tennis Championship in Norman. Constantinescu won the main draw singles crown, then teamed with freshman Teona Tsertsvadze to take the main draw double championship. ...
Oklahoma State standout Oleksandr Nedovyesov is in the main draw singles and doubles finals after wins Sunday at the ITA Central Regional Men’s Tournament in Tulsa. The top-seeded player beat Arkansas’ Chris Nott 6-3, 7-5 in the semifinals, then joined Aleksey Bessonov to win a doubles semi over Nott and partner Dmitry Lebedev 8-6.
Nedovyesov will play second-seeded Christopher Aumueller of Nebraska in today’s singles championship. Nedovyesov and Bessonov will face Philip Stephens and Ashley Watling of Tulsa for the doubles title.
