Bronchos lose match, host bid
Central Oklahoma lost its bid to host the Lone Star Conference women’s soccer tournament Sunday with its 2-0 setback to Texas Woman’s in Edmond. The loss, coupled with West Texas A&M’s 3-0 victory over East Central, and the Buffs will host the LSC Tournament beginning Thursday in Canyon, Texas.

OSU-UCO TIME SET
The Oklahoma State men’s basketball team will play Central Oklahoma in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Saturday in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The start time was set after it was announced Saturday’s football game between OSU and Iowa State will kick off at 2:30 p.m. in Ames.
FORMER BLAZERS KEY SWEEP
Former Oklahoma City Blazers stars Chad Hinz and Doug Groenestege keyed the Missouri Mavericks’ two-game sweep at Wichita in Central Hockey League play over the weekend.
Hinz, a centerman, had three goals. Groenestege started both games in goal and made 46 total saves as the expansion Mavericks beat Wichita 6-1 Friday and 2-0 Saturday. Missouri entered the weekend with an 0-5-0 record.
Hinz and Groenestege signed with Missouri after the Blazers announced during the summer that the franchise would not play the 2009-2010 season.
ORAL ROBERTS LOSES PLAYER
The Oral Roberts men’s basketball team has lost freshman guard Hunter McClintock for the season. McClintock, from Durham, N.C., suffered torn knee ligaments Friday in practice. The projected starter stepped on a teammate’s foot during a drill.
